Diane has been at Hearthside Homes for 3 years now. Her favorite part about working at Hearthside is being able to work with such a great group of people. “Everyone here cares about the quality of our homes and making our homeowners happy.”


When away from work, Diane enjoys spending time volunteering at KC Pet Project, a no-kill animal shelter. In addition to this volunteer work, Diane loves supporting Kansas City’s local sports teams!

Dennis Shriver

Dennis has been with the Hearthside team for 10 years. His favorite part of working at Hearthside is being able to see the physical fruits of our labor. It takes a lot of planning, people and effort to build a house where there was once just empty land. Not to mention the fact that it’s fun to see the final outcome and somebody calling it their “home.”


Away from work, Dennis enjoys spending time at the lake with family or managing the deer habitat at the farm.

I have been around the construction industry most of my life. I was born and raised in a suburb just outside Chicago, Il. As a teenager and a young man, I worked with my father on construction projects. I served in the U.S. Army from 1980 to 1986. Upon my honorable discharge, I moved to Missouri and became co-owner of Waits Service, an auto repair shop, in Independence, MO, since 1947.


In early 2000, I returned to the construction business and built a custom home for my family, to enjoy, on acreage in Kearney, Missouri. I have been married to my wife, Laura, for over 25 years. We have three amazing children!


My expectations, quality of workmanship and attention to detail, with my own personal home, carries over to my specs and custom built homes today. I believe every client deserves the same quality of workmanship in their homes that I expect in mine.


Over the last 16 years, I have built custom homes in the $200,000 to over $500,000 price in Arbor Lakes, Auburndale Estates, Wil-Mar Estates, Heritage Hills, Westwood Village, Hills of Westwood, Meadows of Greenfield, Oakbrook, Jamestowne Village and other acreage lots in counties throughout the Northland. I love what I do.
